The most recently completed vehicle. D 7 has a scratchbuilt styrene body on a modified Aristocraft tender chassis and is inspired by the Emu Bay Rwy's B class timber bogie open wagons. It is loaded with coke, which was a major traffic on the Mt Lyell Rwy, being back loaded in the ore wagons from the port to the smelter. It also serves as a "sound" truck, as it is fitted with a modified Bachmann sound unit and a speaker, thereby giving a voice to those few of my locos that have been hitherto silent.....

Pride of the Line!  The RVR's original loco, No 1, was inspired by the Mt Lyell and Burrinjuck Krausses, and was modified from an LGB Previous | NextMildly modified Bachmann Porter saddletank on the Bottom Rd.
